Everyone gets a seat by the window.

A bakery that welcomes everyone should have a website that does too. Here's what we've done, what you can adjust, and how to tell us when something isn't working.

The short version

Everything on this site works with a keyboard, reads properly with a screen reader, keeps text readable at any zoom, and respects your device's reduced-motion setting. If you'd rather turn the motion off just for this site, there's a switch below.

How this site behaves

  • Keyboard. Every link, button, menu and form field can be reached with Tab and used with Enter or Space. There's a "Skip to content" link at the very top of each page, and the order sheet closes with Escape.
  • Screen readers. Pages use real headings in order, photos of products carry descriptions of what's in them, and decorative images (petals, the cakes on the home page) are marked so they're skipped.
  • Text and contrast. Body text stays legible when you zoom to 200 percent, nothing is fixed to pixel widths that would cut it off, and text colours are checked against their backgrounds. Where we use the brand gold for small labels, we darken it enough to read.
  • Touch. Buttons and links on phones are sized for thumbs, with space between them, and the order bar stays within reach at the bottom of the screen.
  • No surprises. Nothing plays sound, nothing flashes, and nothing moves in a way that could trigger a vestibular reaction: animations are slow, small and never full-screen.

Motion, and how to turn it off

Some pages have gentle movement: petals drifting in the hero, product photos swapping, a Crozza that slices as you scroll, and a pile of mousse cakes you can play with at the bottom of the home page. If your phone or computer is set to reduce motion, all of that is already still. If you'd like it still on this site only, use the switch.

In the shops

If you'd like us to bring your order to a table, or to read the case to you, just ask; the team does it happily.

If something is in your way

If any part of this site is hard to use, or you'd like the menu in another format, tell us and we'll fix it or send it. Use the contact form, and mention which page and what happened. A real person reads it.

We keep testing with keyboards, screen readers (VoiceOver and NVDA) and zoomed-in browsers as the site changes, aiming at WCAG 2.2 level AA.
